An update on us and the Nu Wave Oven

Hi everybody,
Sorry for the long wait.  Last year was a very hard year.  I nearly lost my husband for the second time in December 2010 due to a heart attack.  He is fine now and doing well.  He is disabled due to his type 1 diabetes and end stage kidney disease.  He is on a waiting list now for a new kidney and pancreas by the end of this year.  That is the estimation for his surgery.  We have been through a lot.  God has blessed us very much with everything we have gone through.  We are looking forward to having a great year.

I have been meaning to talk about this product.  My hubby and I awhile back ordered something called a Nu Wave Oven.  Of course now, they have just come out with a Super NuWave oven.  This product is awesome!  We have the older one still.  We haven't ordered the new one yet.  But either way, it is a terrific product.  With my husband's very strict diet due to his disease, he has a kidney diet and a diabetic diet and they keep restricting it more and more.  No fun.  But, this cool Nu Wave Oven, makes it possible for us to cook in half the time it takes to cook using a regular stove and oven.  It is an infared oven and you can bake, fry, it does everything in one.  You can cook a whole chicken whether refrigerated or frozen, and just stick it in there for an hour.  All you need to do is turn it over when the timer beeps for you to do so and then set it to go off again later on when it's done.  It gets off more fat from meats than cooking over the stove or in the conventional oven better.  You can even stick veggies in there with it to cook.  It takes an hour for a whole chicken to cook and it comes out so juicy and moist.  The veggies you can stick under and around the chicken.  You have a rack in there and you stick the chicken on the rack.  Under the rack, you stick the veggies and you can lay the veggies around the meat too.  Anyway, you put whatever spices you want on there too and extra virgin olive oil.  My hubby likes to put carrots in a baggy with the spices and olive oil and shake it up.  (by the way-there is a dvd you get with the oven and there is a professional chef that actually does this.  So, my hubby got the idea from the chef.  Of course, when you use this oven you will feel like the best chef on earth, because food comes out great!)  So, when you do that, you actually have a complete meal cooking at one time.  It really is awesome.  Since my hubby is disabled, this helps him to eat healthy and he doesn't have to stick around in the kitchen and baby sit the stove or anything.  I use it too and I stick my frozen fish or Tyson chicken nuggets in there.  It takes 5 minutes on each side for however many chicken nuggets I place on the rack and I don't even need ketchup for it to eat it, if I don't want it.  It tastes better than even McDonald's chicken nuggets, but that's my own opinion.  My frozen fish I like to cook, it takes that 7 minutes on each side, sometimes, I'll do 8 minutes on the other side.  I like to be sure it's brown enough and that beats using a conventional oven when it takes about a half hour for me to use the conventional oven otherwise.  You can cook fresh fish in there too and have home made fish instead of the frozen kind that is already cooked and processed.  We cook more than that, but I am just giving some examples of some of our favorite dishes.  It is also dish washer safe and very easy to clean.  It takes up very little space in our kitchen.  We just have it in a spot on one of our counter tops.  It is one of the best investments we have ever made.  We love our nuwaveoven and I totally recommend that people buy it.  I am not getting paid for this, I am merely sharing our experiences with using this product and really believe everyone should have one.  Just go to:  http://www.nuwaveoven.com/ to order.
