Back to School Time!

About a month ago, my son went back to school!  He's in preschool again this year and loves it.  He seems to be doing better than last year.  He knows what to expect and already used to the routine of going to school.  Last year he was in the special education class and had the same teacher as last year.  However, now he's going to be in the other preschool classroom that has more students.  This class also has more boys in it and most (if not all) the students talk!  My son needs this exposure to more students and be able to observe and listen to other kids his age talking!  I am really excited and hope that he will be more verbal and use words instead of whining. 

Do you have children?  Are they enjoying school?  How was the back to school shopping?  Were you prepared for them to go back to school?

Our back to school shopping wasn't too difficult.  He had the backpack from last year and that's about all he needed for supplies.  He did need more clothes for school as his school requires uniforms.  I wanted to have more pants and shirts on hand for him.  We now have new polo shirts and pants that he wears to school.  He wears his school clothes 24/7 because he is picky with clothes that he wears.  We do not have any pajamas for him as it saves time getting him ready in the morning with changing clothes.  If he's in clothes that he likes, he won't want to change into new clothes.  I'd rather avoid a tantrum/whining fest if at all possible.

A Different Site for Job Hunters

At this free job portal, you can post jobs for free and apply for jobs free!  There are also some unique features too.  You can apply for up to 50 jobs at once!  As an online job search site user, I have never seen an option like this before!  Have you? 

I was surprised, were you?

Earlier this week, Ricky Martin declares that he is a homosexual.  It was surprising for me to read, although I never considered him to be either way.  He was and still is good looking, however I never had a crush on him.  His sexuality has no affect on me and I don’t see him differently.  He is still the same person. 

I can’t imagine having to “come out” to the world.  I think it is very brave! 

Ever since the Ricky Martin came out, his song “Living La Vida Loca” has been stuck in my head. 

Skin Care Thoughts

Do you feel bombarded with the many different options of skin care products available?

This year, I will be entering into my 30s and I have already started using anti-aging products! I started looking into anti-aging products soon after I turned 29! I am currently using a few products and methods to help prevent wrinkles. I treat myself an anti-aging homemade facial mask at least once a week.

What skin care products do you use? Before buying any product, be sure to look at the ingredients list! Read the customer reviews, listen to your friends and other opinions to form your own thoughts about products. In other words, do your homework.

What are you up to?

Hi everyone. I know I haven't posted much on this blog. I was hoping to have guest contributors to blog with me! So far, nobody is interested! I am looking for fellow moms, women, and pen pallers, who love to blog! You would be welcome to blog about anything, not just pen palling.

In the meantime, I have been busy with another blog I just started. Since both my husband and I are not working, I am finding additional ways for us to save money. I have been looking for homemade recipes for beauty and other things, rather than buying expensive remedies at the store. You are welcome to visit my beauty blog! Everything else is going okay with us. My son just started speech therapy! I am excited and hope it leads to more for him.
